Bhujodi acquires its name from Bhuj, Gujarat and is distinct owing to its extra weft weaving technique. This region is also famous for an indigenous cotton called Kala Cotton that is sometimes used in these sarees. Originally woven as shawls, they are worn by the Rabaris even today and form an integral part of their cultural identity.
