As part of our premium collection 'Bunavat Royale', this Jamdani has been designed keeping in mind our never-ending love for geometry intersecting with our respect and gratitude for nature. It's a contemporary take on the traditional technique of Jamdani inspired by nature, showcasing the geometrical rendition of a leaf and its placement interspersed with lines. This saree has been woven by Shri Sitanath Chandra, one of our weavers from the Burdwan district of West Bengal. The total time taken from pre-loom to post-loom activities including dyeing, warping, sizing, weaving and finishing is about 25 days. This is a 150 count saree with cotton in the warp and ambar charkha handspun cotton in the weft. The stripes have been done in 2 ply and the motifs in 8 ply. We urge you to appreciate the craftsmanship, precision and the patience required to arrive at the final product from a graphical representation.
