The Saree
A profound study in rich, mysterious colour transitions, the body of this masterfully handwoven Begumpuri cotton saree features a dramatic dhoop-chaon (double-toned) shot effect. Created by crossing a deep green warp with a vivid magenta weft, the resulting base fabric transforms under the light into a stunning, regal purple. The entire body is brought to life by alternating rows of Ludo board-style geometric motifs, intricately woven in bright orange and light blue. Framing this shifting canvas is a highly decorative border featuring precise, repeating diamond and rhombus geometric line work rendered in soft light blue, providing an immaculate structural frame to the rich purple backdrop.
The Pallu
The pallu is a magnificent, heavily detailed work of art that seamlessly brings together two distinct weaving heritages. Rendered on a fresh viridian green base, it features dense, beautifully mapped rows of extra-weft geometric motifs heavily inspired by traditional North Eastern textiles. Woven in a high-contrast palette of bright orange, crisp white, and light blue, the pallu transitions into a series of bold horizontal stripes in orange and green that beautifully pick up the dhoop-chaon purple tones of the body. The drape concludes elegantly with hand-tied tassels.
The Blouse
This saree is a standalone heritage piece and does not come with a blouse piece. To highlight its high-contrast accents, pair it with a solid sleeveless bright orange cotton blouse, a tailored deep magenta silk crop top, or a contrasting viridian green elbow-length blouse for a polished workspace look.
