Welcome to our world of weaves and crafts! Our story began in 2018 with a trip to Ajrakhpur and Bunavat was born to bring forth weaves and stories from the hinterlands of India. 'Bunanat Essentials' is our curated collection of sarees designed and handwoven by last-mile weavers with a special focus on lesser known and forgotten weaves. Our Philosophy
Celebrating Heritage
We intend to bring to the forefront, the forgotten and lesser-known weaves and textile crafts of India, thereby safeguarding livelihoods of these communities and preserving their craft.
Consciously Crafted
We adopt a thoughtful approach in sourcing our weaves which are handwoven or handcrafted using natural fibres, with the least intervention of machinery. We are the opposite of fast fashion.
Rooted in Community
When we work directly with last-mile weavers and artisans across India, not only are we bridging the gap between a producer and consumer, we're also investing in our local communities.
