The Saree
A graceful expression of Bengal’s handloom heritage, this off-white cotton saree is woven in the Dhonekhali cluster of West Bengal, known for its lightweight and breathable cotton textiles. The serene off-white body is enlivened with a delicate checked pattern in red and light peach, creating a soft interplay of warm colours across the length of the saree. A bold 4.5-inch red border frames the body with a clean, striking edge, adding depth and definition to the otherwise understated palette. The Pallu
The pallu introduces a richer visual rhythm through bands of red stripes in varying widths, creating movement and depth across the drape. Woven into this composition is the traditional ‘dhaner sheesh’ motif, inspired by the graceful form of a rice ear and deeply connected to Bengal’s cultural and agrarian heritage. The combination of rhythmic stripes and symbolic woven detailing gives the pallu a distinctive artisanal character while maintaining the saree’s understated elegance.
The Blouse
This saree does not come with a separate blouse piece, allowing you to pair it freely with a blouse in red, light peach, off-white, or another complementary shade. A solid red blouse creates a bold contrast, while an off-white or peach blouse brings out the softer character of the checked body.

The saree gradually softens with regular wear, developing an increasingly fluid and comfortable drape while retaining its distinctive handwoven character. Its airy cotton construction makes it particularly well suited to the Indian climate, from everyday wear to relaxed festive and cultural occasions.

Care Instructions: The saree comes pre-starched, and we recommend periodic starching to help maintain its crisp structure. However, it can also be worn and maintained without starch for a softer, more relaxed drape. Wash gently with a mild detergent and dry in shade. Store folded in a clean, dry muslin cloth away from direct sunlight.

Shipping is free within India for all our orders.
For all international orders, we charge the customer at actuals. We use DHL, Aramex or Fedex depending on the service availability and cost for the location.
We offer return within 3 days of receipt of the order if there is any major defect in the saree/ dupatta or sizing issues with blouses. Please note, no return is accepted for customized stitching orders of blouses or sarees for which fall/edging have been done or pre-order has been placed by the customer. Since these are handmade products, minor irregulaties in weaving or crafting will not be considered a defect, it is in fact a proof of the authenticity of the product.
