The Saree

A study in soothing colour and quiet structure, the body of the Ilkal saree is woven from fine, breathable pure cotton in a muted dusty blue hue. The understated solid canvas allows the traditional border to take centre stage without overwhelming the simplicity of the weave.

Running along the length of the saree is a beautifully woven Gayathri border, continuing in the same dusty blue base and layered with deep brown and dark blue bands. The restrained combination of earthy tones gives the border a distinctly sophisticated character, adding definition to the drape while retaining the easy elegance of a classic handloom cotton saree. Lightweight, breathable and beautifully tactile, the weave makes this an effortless choice for everyday dressing as well as understated occasions.

The Pallu

The pallu makes a striking transition into a kora white cotton base, creating a beautiful contrast against the dusty blue body. Woven across this lighter canvas are panels in the grey shade, bringing visual continuity between the body and pallu. The interplay of natural white and grey gives the pallu a clean, architectural quality while keeping the overall aesthetic understated and versatile.

The Blouse

Comes with a matching running pure cotton blouse piece same as the dusty blue body and allow the rich Gayathri border to be carried through as an accent.

Note from the Loom: This saree is a certified handloom masterpiece from the Ilkal cluster. Because this specific style is rendered entirely in 100% pure cotton across the body, border, and pallu, it features a continuous warp structure rather than a mixed-fiber kondi joint, offering an exceptionally soft, uncompromised uniformity. Any minor slubs or subtle thread variations are natural characteristics of this manual process.

Product Note: Being a handwoven product, slight variations in colour, weave, or design are natural and reflect the authentic beauty of handcrafted textiles. The blouses featured in the photoshoots are for representation purposes only and are not for sale.
