The Saree
A refined expression of traditional Ilkal craftsmanship, this saree features a deep plum and white striped cotton body with fine horizontal lines running across its length. The alternating tones create a subtle yet distinctive rhythm, giving the saree a clean, structured appearance while allowing the natural texture of the cotton weave to remain visible.
Framing the dark body is a traditional Ilkal Chikki Paras border, woven using Art Silk (Viscose Rayon) and cotton. The border features intricate chikki paras motifs in silver and black on dark forest green, creating a distinctive geometric rhythm along the edges of the saree. The subtle sheen of the Art Silk adds depth and luminosity to the traditional pattern, while the rich green border provides a beautiful contrast against the plum and white striped cotton body.
The Pallu
The saree is finished with a vibrant bands of emerald green with silver pure Silk pallu, adding a striking contrast to the plum and white striped cotton body. The lustrous surface of pure silk catches the light beautifully, while the silver detailing introduces a refined festive sheen.
Masterfully joined directly to the cotton body using the authentic Topi Teni interlocking warp technique, it begins with traditional temple tower motifs (tope), before culminating in the classic Ilkal layout of alternating shimmering leaf green and silver silk bands.
The Blouse
Comes with a 95 cm running blouse piece in coordinating fabric, allowing for a cohesive look that completes the saree's rich colour palette.

Note from the Loom: This saree is a certified handloom masterpiece from the Ilkal cluster. The Topi Teni technique involves physically interlocking the silk warp of the pallu with the cotton warp of the body. Any minor slubs, tiny irregularities, or thread variations at the joint are prized characteristics of this highly intensive manual process.

For all international orders, we charge the customer at actuals. We use DHL, Aramex or Fedex depending on the service availability and cost for the location.
We offer return within 3 days of receipt of the order if there is any major defect in the saree/ dupatta or sizing issues with blouses. Please note, no return is accepted for customized stitching orders of blouses or sarees for which fall/edging have been done or pre-order has been placed by the customer. Since these are handmade products, minor irregulaties in weaving or crafting will not be considered a defect, it is in fact a proof of the authenticity of the product.
