The Saree

Elegant, artistic and thoughtfully composed, this exclusive handwoven saree from Bunavat's Punchiri collection celebrates geometry through a distinctly handcrafted lens. Woven on a serene ice blue green base, the saree combines contemporary design with traditional artistry, creating a silhouette that is understated yet undeniably striking. Crafted from an exquisite blend of silk and ultra-fine 150-count handspun cotton, the fabric is naturally translucent, exceptionally lightweight and wonderfully butter-soft, flowing with effortless grace while offering exceptional comfort throughout the day.

The body features a sophisticated central panel created through the overlapping of geometric hand block prints in soft steel blue and warm metallic bronze. The layered motifs lend the saree depth, movement and a quiet architectural elegance, allowing the handcrafted nature of each print to shine through. Framing the composition are classic thin bronze-gold zari borders that add a subtle festive radiance. Running gracefully along the inner edges of the borders and outlining the central panel is a delicate Kangri pattern in soft steel blue, its rhythmic triangular motifs creating a beautiful sense of structure while gently drawing the eye towards the centre. The harmonious palette of ice blue green, steel blue and bronze lends this saree a refined versatility, making it a graceful choice for Onam celebrations, festive gatherings, cultural occasions and elegant daytime events.

The Pallu

The pallu embraces the beauty of restraint, allowing the richness of the weave to speak for itself. A fifteen-inch panel of finely woven bronze-gold zari stripes, thoughtfully spaced half an inch apart, creates a gentle rhythm of light and texture that beautifully complements the geometric composition of the saree. Finished with meticulously handcrafted tassels, the pallu lends the drape a refined festive finish while reflecting the understated luxury that defines the Punchiri collection.

The Blouse

The saree comes with a matching blouse piece woven on the same elegant ice blue green base and adorned with a delicate geometric hand block print inspired by the symmetry of a pinwheel in soft steel blue. The intricate motif complements the layered geometry of the saree while adding its own subtle visual interest. Tailor it into a timeless elbow-sleeved blouse for classic elegance, a sophisticated boat-neck silhouette for contemporary refinement, or a sleeveless blouse that beautifully highlights the handcrafted print.
