The Saree

A vibrant interpretation of Bengal’s handloom heritage, this off-white cotton saree is woven in the Dhonekhali cluster of West Bengal, bringing together an intricate interplay of colour, geometry, and traditional motifs. The serene off-white body is enlivened with alternating red and yellow horizontal lines, creating a lively rhythm across the weave. Interspersed between these lines are delicate rhombus and fish motifs, adding character and a distinctive visual texture to the body. Framing this expressive canvas is a traditional Ganga Jamuna border, further enriched with temple and rhombus motifs that lend the edges an architectural and heritage-inspired character. The Pallu

The pallu continues the saree’s rhythmic aesthetic with bands of pale red stripes in varying widths, creating a subtle progression across the drape.
