The Saree

A gentle exploration of colour, scale and repetition, Colour Field brings a softer, more playful expression to the graphic language of Pochampally Ikat.

The warm peach body is scattered with dark-plum polka dots and circular motifs in deep wine. Their varied scale creates a rhythmic composition across the fabric, allowing the luminous base to remain visible between the darker forms. The result is an airy field of colour that feels contemporary yet rooted in the precision of traditional Ikat weaving.

Framing the body are contrasting Ganga-Jamuna borders measuring approximately 3.5 inches. The lower border appears in deep navy blue, while the upper border is woven in rich purple. Together, they give the softly coloured body a strong architectural outline and introduce the deeper shades carried into the pallu and blouse.

The Pallu

The pallu opens into a rich purple ground, creating an expressive contrast with the peach body. Grey Ikat motifs move across its surface, their softly feathered outlines adding texture and rhythm to the saturated base.

The transition from peach, plum and wine to purple and grey gives the saree a layered yet cohesive finish—a considered meeting of soft colour and graphic form.

The Blouse

The saree comes with an 83 cm blouse piece in contrasting deep navy blue. Kept plain and minimal, it complements the lower border while balancing the patterned body and richly coloured pallu.

Note from the Loom: Pochampally Ikat is created by carefully resist-dyeing sections of yarn before the threads are arranged and woven on the loom. The characteristic feathered outlines, subtle shifts and gentle irregularities within the motifs are treasured marks of this intricate handmade process.

Product Note: Being a handwoven product, slight variations in colour, weave, or design are natural and reflect the authentic beauty of handcrafted textiles. The blouse featured in the photoshoots is for representation purposes only and is not for sale.
