The Saree
A warm, nostalgic tribute to the quiet comfort of a peaceful Bengal afternoon, the body of this authentic handwoven Dhonekhali masterpiece is a masterclass in complex textile geometry. Woven with immense precision in the historic Dhonekhali clusters of West Bengal, the canvas opens with a radiant base of rich Genda Phool (marigold) yellow. Layered over this glowing backdrop is an intricate, dual-layered network of handwoven green checks. The first layer consists of narrow green pinstripes that form perfectly balanced, crisp 6 cm square grids. The second layer introduces a broader set of green stripes that intersect to form a bolder, wider structural frame, creating distinct junctions every 5 inches across the width of the saree and every 24 cm lengthwise. Breaking the clean lines of this dual-grid backdrop, master artisans have beautifully interspersed delicate extra-weft geometric motifs on a completely separate, independent spacing grid.
Framing this masterful canvas is an exquisite, multi-layered border built on a soothing Haldi Doodh (turmeric milk) yellow base. It opens at the outermost edge with a 1-inch solid band of plain Haldi Doodh yellow, leading into a crisp green dobby line. This is followed by a beautiful Naksha Paar panel detailing handwoven floral motifs that are intricately flanked on both sides by miniature temple borders. The inner frame concludes with a final 0.5 cm wide green stripe and a running row of traditional, tiny temple motifs.
The Pallu
The pallu elegantly ties together the saree’s warm botanical theme, showcasing a rhythmic sequence of rich green horizontal stripes over the yellow base. Creating a truly magnificent visual statement over the shoulder, the layout is grounded by rows of the iconic 'Dhaaner Sheesh' (sheaf of paddy) motif, meticulously handwoven in alternating yellow and green extra-weft threads for a flawless heritage finish.
The Blouse
This saree is a standalone heritage piece and does not come with a blouse piece. To accentuate its bright, tropical palette, pair it with a solid sleeveless forest green cotton blouse, a tailored mustard or marigold yellow crop top, or a contrasting Haldi Doodh cream linen blouse to beautifully coordinate with the multi-layered border.

- Texture: Exceptionally lightweight, highly breathable, and perfectly suited for the nuances of Indian weather. This saree arrives starched to hold a crisp, pristine form right out of the box. While we recommend light starching to maintain its signature, sophisticated structure, it can absolutely be worn and maintained without starch as well. If you prefer a completely fluid drape, we recommend soaking the saree overnight in salt water to easily remove the starch. The fabric possesses an incredible quality of growing softer, more fluid, and more supple with every subsequent wash and wear.
- Care Instructions: Gentle hand wash separately in cold water only using a mild liquid detergent. Do not wring or squeeze excessively. Avoid drying in direct sunlight to maintain the distinct brilliance of the turmeric yellow and green hand-dyed yarns.

Shipping is free within India for all our orders.
For all international orders, we charge the customer at actuals. We use DHL, Aramex or Fedex depending on the service availability and cost for the location.
We offer return within 3 days of receipt of the order if there is any major defect in the saree/ dupatta or sizing issues with blouses. Please note, no return is accepted for customized stitching orders of blouses or sarees for which fall/edging have been done or pre-order has been placed by the customer. Since these are handmade products, minor irregulaties in weaving or crafting will not be considered a defect, it is in fact a proof of the authenticity of the product.
