The Saree
A warm and expressive interpretation of Bengal’s handloom heritage, this rusty peach and maroon cotton saree is woven in the Dhonekhali cluster of West Bengal. The rusty peach body is detailed with a delicate maroon line motif, creating a subtle linear rhythm across the fabric. At the centre, a bold solid maroon panel introduces a deeper note of colour, enriched with fine yellow line motifs that create a distinctive contrast. Framing this composition is an Ikat border in orange, green, and maroon, finished with traditional maroon temple motifs that add an architectural and heritage-inspired character to the edges. The layered interplay of earthy and vibrant hues gives the saree a distinctive, handcrafted appeal.
The Pallu
The pallu continues the saree’s rhythmic character with bands of red stripes in varying widths, creating a dynamic visual transition from the patterned body. Woven into the striped composition is the traditional ‘dhaner sheesh’ motif, inspired by the form of a rice ear and deeply connected to Bengal’s cultural and agrarian heritage. The combination of varied stripes and symbolic woven detailing creates a distinctive artisanal finish while complementing the rich maroon and rusty peach palette of the saree.
The Blouse
This saree does not come with a separate blouse piece, allowing you the freedom to style it with a blouse in rusty peach, maroon, yellow, green, or another complementary shade. A solid maroon blouse can echo the central panel and temple motifs, while a yellow or rusty peach blouse can bring out the softer tones of the body.

With regular wear, the cotton gradually softens and develops a more fluid and comfortable drape while retaining its distinctive handwoven character. Its airy construction makes it especially suited to the Indian climate and ideal for everyday wear, summer dressing, cultural occasions, and relaxed festive gatherings.

Care Instructions: The saree comes pre-starched, and we recommend periodic starching to help retain its crisp structure. However, it can also be worn and maintained without starch for a softer, more relaxed drape. Wash gently with a mild detergent and dry in shade. Store folded in a clean, dry muslin cloth away from direct sunlight.

Shipping is free within India for all our orders.
For all international orders, we charge the customer at actuals. We use DHL, Aramex or Fedex depending on the service availability and cost for the location.
We offer return within 3 days of receipt of the order if there is any major defect in the saree/ dupatta or sizing issues with blouses. Please note, no return is accepted for customized stitching orders of blouses or sarees for which fall/edging have been done or pre-order has been placed by the customer. Since these are handmade products, minor irregulaties in weaving or crafting will not be considered a defect, it is in fact a proof of the authenticity of the product.
