Venkatagiri Sarees

Woven in Venkatagiri in the Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, these sarees were historically made for the royal families and temple deities. While the cotton version is more commonly seen, silk Venkatagiris are also quite popular. The usage of silver and gold zari in the weaving adds to the rich look and some even have Jamdani extra weft motifs on the body. These sarees are lightweight, breathable, and easy to drape, making them ideal for both festive and daily wear.
