The Saree
Capturing the serene, translucent beauty of dawn, the body of this authentic handwoven Dhonekhali masterpiece is dipped in a refreshing, organic shade of sage green. Crafted carefully in the historic weaving clusters of West Bengal, the main canvas is brought to life by deep plum-coloured extra-weft geometric motifs formed by intricate pinstripe configurations, adding an understated layer of sophistication to the drape. Framing this calm green body is a magnificent, highly detailed Naksha Paar dobby border woven in a rich, contrasting maroon. This architectural border features a rhythmic sequence of traditional temple patterns, geometric diamond motifs, and a structural play of maroon stripes. Crisp white pinstripes are artfully woven along the edges as highlights, lending a sharp, eye-catching definition to the entire silhouette.
The Pallu
The pallu is a beautifully vibrant showcase of color-blocking and rural Bengal symbolism. It features a sequence of horizontal stripes in a fresh, mustard-toned lime green, beautifully balanced by alternating bands of deep plumish-maroon. Anchoring this modern striped layout at both the beginning and the end are rows of the iconic 'Dhaaner Sheesh' (sheaf of paddy) motif, meticulously handwoven in rich yellow and maroon extra-weft threads. This heritage design acts as a magnificent visual statement over the shoulder, celebrating time-tested handloom poetry.
The Blouse
This saree is a standalone heritage piece and does not come with a blouse piece. To curate a strikingly elegant and polished look, pair it with a solid sleeveless plum or maroon cotton blouse, a tailored mustard yellow crop top, or a contrasting off-white boat-neck blouse to let the fine white border accents pop.
