The Saree

A breathtaking homage to the rustic soul and time-honoured weaving traditions of Bengal, the body of this authentic Dhonekhali masterpiece is handwoven from premium pure cotton. The base is an elegant, crisp off-white that serves as a canvas for a vibrant, classic grid. This lively pattern is brought to life by alternating red checks interwoven with bright yellow stripes, creating a beautifully rhythmic and cheerful visual texture all over the body. Framing this cheerful grid are striking Ganga-Jamuna (dual-coloured) temple borders woven in rich red on one side and deep green on the other. This unique colour play frames the silhouette beautifully, making it an elegant and versatile choice for morning festivities, family poojas, and cultural gatherings.

The Pallu

The pallu transitions into a denser, highly festive display of Bengal’s agrarian heritage. It features a rich concentration of closely placed red stripes and intricate geometric checks. Nestled within this traditional layout is the iconic 'Dhaaner Sheesh' (sheaf of paddy) motif, meticulously handwoven in green extra-weft threads. This timeless symbol of prosperity and abundance creates an unforgettable visual statement over the shoulder, culminating in the clean, characteristic finish of a classic Dhonekhali textile.

The Blouse

This saree is a standalone heritage piece and does not come with a blouse piece. To accentuate its vibrant accents, pair it with a solid sleeveless crimson red cotton blouse, a tailored forest green crop top, or a contrasting sunny yellow boat-neck blouse to elegantly tie the whole look together.

Note from the Loom: The Dhonekhali weave is celebrated for its lightweight feel and culturally rich motifs. Because this is an authentic hand-loomed product from Hooghly, West Bengal, minor variations in stripe intervals, subtle thread slubs, or gentle colour textures are celebrated characteristics of its fine manual craftsmanship.

Product Note: Being a handwoven product, slight variations in colour, weave, or design are natural and reflect the authentic beauty of handcrafted textiles. The blouses featured in the photoshoots are for representation purposes only and are sold separately.
