A breathtaking study in dramatic contrasts, ‘Ghat’ captures the striking beauty of a holy riverbank at twilight, where deep shadows meet the warm, golden glow of evening lamps. The body is hand-woven from a luxurious blend of fine-warp silk and crisp weft cotton, resulting in a luminous, semi-translucent midnight black. Far from looking heavy or flat, this gossamer-light texture catches the ambient light, giving the black a soft, celestial glow.
Framing this deep body is a majestic, traditional broad gold zari border. The border is intricately woven with an antique, heirloom-quality geometric diamond-grid motif (a classic Maheshwari design reminiscent of stone-carved steps), adding an exquisite weight and structure to the lightweight drape.
The true showstopper of ‘Ghat’ is its bold, theatrical palla. The midnight black body transitions dramatically into a vibrant, high-contrast sunshine yellow block. This brilliant yellow canvas is intercepted by a series of vertical, shimmering gold zari bands that create a stunning, metallic colorblock effect over the shoulder. The edge is beautifully finished with delicate, hand-knotted dark tassels, honouring the slow, deliberate rhythm of traditional handloom artistry.
Comes complete with an unstitched running silk-cotton blouse piece in matching midnight black, finished with the same broad, diamond-patterned gold zari border to complete a classic, sophisticated look.

Note from the Loom: This saree is a certified handloom luxury product. The fine translucency, slight irregularities in the organic texture, and minor manual shifts in the geometric zari weave are celebrated hallmarks of authentic artisan craft on a traditional Madhya Pradesh wooden loom.
Product Note: Due to the delicate silk-cotton blend, the exact hue of the marigold yellow shifts dynamically depending on warm or cool ambient lighting. The blouse featured in the photoshoot is for styling representation purposes only.
