The Saree
An exquisite exploration of cool pastel tones balanced by rich, deep berry hues, the body of this authentic handwoven Dhonekhali masterpiece features a striking horizontal striped layout all over. Crafted with meticulous precision in the historic Dhonekhali weaving clusters of West Bengal, the entire canvas is brought to life by alternating horizontal stripes each exactly 0.5 cm wide in an enchanting blend of soft periwinkle blue, bright electric periwinkle, and earthy brick red. Framing this colourful, rhythmic body is a grand and highly structured dobby border. The border layout begins at the outermost edge with a sharp bordeaux pinstripe that opens up into a magnificent, 6.5 cm wide solid band in a rich plum-red shade. This bold block of colour is followed by an inner bordeaux pinstripe before culminating beautifully in a traditional plum temple border, elegantly interspersed with delicate floral motifs handwoven against a contrasting, soft periwinkle blue backdrop.
The Pallu
The pallu is a masterclass in playful geometric alignment and cultural symbolism. It features a wonderful, heavy concentration of horizontal stripes in varying widths of pristine white that intersect visually over the periwinkle-striped base to create a beautiful, highly dynamic block of checks. Grounding this fun and graphic multi-striped layout are two rows of the iconic 'Dhaaner Sheesh' (sheaf of paddy) motif, intricately handwoven in plum and white extra-weft threads to complete the authentic heritage drape.
The Blouse
This saree is a standalone heritage piece and does not come with a blouse piece. To accentuate its rich, multi-toned accents, pair it with a solid sleeveless plum-red or deep bordeaux cotton blouse, a tailored periwinkle blue linen crop top, or a contrasting brick red boat-neck blouse to elegantly draw attention to the unique striped detailing of the body.

Specifications & Care
- Texture: Exceptionally lightweight, highly breathable, and perfectly suited for the nuances of Indian weather. This saree arrives starched to hold a crisp, pristine form right out of the box. While we recommend light starching to maintain its signature, sophisticated structure, it can absolutely be worn and maintained without starch as well. If you prefer a completely fluid drape, we recommend soaking the saree overnight in salt water to easily remove the starch. The fabric possesses an incredible quality of growing softer, more fluid, and more supple with every subsequent wash and wear.
- Care Instructions: Gentle hand wash separately in cold water only using a mild liquid detergent. Do not wring or squeeze excessively. Avoid drying in direct sunlight to maintain the distinct brilliance of the turmeric yellow and green hand-dyed yarns.
- Shipping: Free shipping within India.
- Delivery: Dispatched and delivered within 3–8 business days from the date of your order.

Note from the Loom: The Dhonekhali weave is celebrated for its lightweight feel and culturally rich motifs. Because this is an authentic hand-loomed product from Hooghly, West Bengal, minor variations in stripe intervals, subtle thread slubs, or gentle colour textures are celebrated characteristics of its fine manual craftsmanship.
Product Note: Being a handwoven product, slight variations in colour, weave, or design are natural and reflect the authentic beauty of handcrafted textiles. The blouses featured in the photoshoots are for representation purposes only and are sold separately.
